Last weekend we had many visitors. Hilary's aunt, Colette, came from San Francisco. My brother, John, came from Alaska. Our friends, Jake and Lis, came with their kids, Jay and Sasha, from Brooklyn. Our friend, Christian, who lives in Marin also happened to be in town for a funeral. It was great having time to catch up with people we love. We even threw our first party of the Sophie and Celeste era.
Colette was Sophie Lee's first babysitter taking her out to the Deutsches' house for tea and doing fine without us.
On Sunday the weather cleared after a lot of rain and we got to show John around Capitol Hill on an extended dog walk. Celeste took a great shine to John and abandoned the family room to sleep with him on the air-mattress at night.
This week we went to Sophie Lee's cousin, Julius's second birthday. I didn't bring a camera, but Uncle David took this charming picture of Sophie Lee in full party mode.
