We took the train back down to London and stayed with Tom, Nikki, and Theo at their lovely house in the Kendrick Mews of South Kensington. We had some wonderful walks in London. I got to revisit the pubs I had worked at and lived in during my time in London after college. The Two Eagles in Lambeth North is no longer a pub, but the Prince Alfred in Maida Vale has returned to being a pub after a disgraceful interim as an upscale wine-bar the last time I had visited in 2003--reassuring me that some things that seem destroyed can return to what they were meant to be.
