We drove out to California again this past summer. Some of the highlights were:
- the Mark Twain museum and eating catfish in Hannibal, MO
- visiting with Uncle John in Lincoln, NE
- a Pony Express station and Scott's Bluff National Monument in NE
- Fort Laramie, camping the in the Wind River Range, and Fossil Butte National Monument in WY
- The Golden Spike National Historic Site and the Spiral Jetty in northern UT
- swimming in Pyramid Lake in NV
- camping in Lassen National Park and getting our food eaten by a bear in the Trinity Alps in CA
- watching Sophie swim in the Pacific, hike in the redwoods, and meet Snoopy on the way down to San Francisco
