Paw Paw


This year we had a week off in February around Presidents Day. We spent five days in Paw Paw, West Virginia, relaxing and hiking on the C&O Canal.



The canal goes through a 3,118 foot tunnel just outside the town of Paw Paw. It was extremely dark in the middle. Sophie was very brave. She walked through it one way without a light. On the way back she led us, wearing a headlamp.











The house we rented was in the woods on a peninsula created by a meander of the Potomac River.

One day we had five inches of snow which was lovely and made most of the world look like a black and white photograph:
